T-minus one day until New York Fashion Week and we can’t wait! It’s also the perfect time to announce the second installment of our Tastemaker Series. Enter Noelle Sciacca, the Senior Associate Market Editor at Lucky Magazine. The insanely stylish editor let us in on her NYFW schedule, who she can’t wait to see and much more.

1. Instagram or Twitter:

2. What made you decide to get into the fashion biz?

I always knew that I wanted a career that I didn’t view as a job. I wanted to get paid to do something that I absolutely loved. After a ton of informational interviews and internships in the industry I knew this was where I wanted to be.

3. How would you describe your style?
My style is modern and feminine. I’m almost always in a skirt or dress but the silhouettes are more sculptural than ladylike and flouncy.

4. What are some of your current fashion obsessions?
I’m sad to see summer come to an end, but I love pumpkin and cinnamon and all things autumn. I’m happy that shearling is having a major moment again cause I’m planning on layering myself in it this fall. There are a lot of really cool contemporary takes on the fabric, but I’m sure I can dig through my mother’s closet or a vintage store to find the perfect pieces!

5. Heels or Flats?
There’s a certain confidence that comes with wearing heels. Its a combination of the extra height and the fact that they elongate and slim the legs and they are usually my top choice when I’m dressing to impress. I will say that I have been taking advantage of the comfort shoe trend this summer and pairing my shorter hemlines with flat sandals. A girl’s gotta give her feet a break some time, right?

6. What do you love about Sole Society?
I love that Sole Society offers fashionable products at an affordable price point without compromising quality.

7. Favorite Movie:

I love a comedy! One of my favorite movies is Heavy Weights. Ben Stiller plays a fitness freak who takes over a summer weight loss camp. Enough said!

8. Describe your schedule for a day during NYFW.
During NYFW my days are packed to the max. The first show usually begins at 9 or 10am and from there I’m basically off on a rat race around the city until 8 or 9pm. I’m munching on quick snacks while I ride the subway, catch cabs, and power walk from Lincoln Center to Chelsea Piers for shows and presentations. September fashion week is our industry’s version of back to school. We carefully plan out our outfits, our minds are fresh and ready to absorb new information, and most of all we’re excited to catch up with friends that we haven’t seen in a while.

9. Which designers are you most looking forward to seeing this year at NYFW?
I’m excited to see some of the newer talent on the market like Delpozo, Ji Oh, Baja East, and Rosie Assoulin.

YES: The September Issue of InStyle Magazine has landed! We’re over the moon thrilled to have our best-selling Wynn heels featured in “Instant Style” with the iconic Julia Roberts as the cover girl. With its sleek leather and (dare we say sexy) cut out silhouette, it’s no wonder it was spotlighted as the easy way to master minimalism.

We love a great multi-tasking bag and this crossbody/clutch is a dream come true. Cue Bentley. This soft vegan leather clutch has a boxy shape, fold over closure, metal hardware and complete with the removable strap for crossbody ease. Now here comes the hard part: In sleek black or rich cognac? Or how about both?

We’re big believers that statement necklaces make an outfit and more is always better. Take the above look for example: We’re swooning over the triple effect of the three white necklaces teamed with a graphic white tank. Definitely for the accessorizing risk taker.

If you’d prefer to go the more delicate route, decorate your neckline with these pendant pieces. The two-in-one designs take the guesswork out of the layered necklace look and make it easy to style and go.
