Go to yoga more. Bring lunch to work. The list goes on. But how about this for a resolution: Experiment more with textures like leopard and faux snakeskin.

The combination of leopard printed on hair calf and rich plum purple faux snakeskin is  surprisingly versatile. And it just looks so absurdly cool. Truly anyone can pull this off.

Our credo for winter? Brown boots, always. They’re practical, versatile, reliable and 100% classic. Essentially the cornerstone of your shoe closet, particularly with the cold temperatures coming in. Here are two fuss-free rules and easy outfits for you to copy pronto.

1.  The Big Chill: Not only does the hazelnut suede hue look incredible with light wash denim, but also your winter outerwear. Think of it as a classic with a twist.

“If possible, I would wear a camel-colored trench coat with everything I own. The menswear-inspired staple is classic, sleek and so modern. For our recent photo shoot, I styled the closet cornerstone with a crisp button up that carefully peeks out from the sleeves and collar as well as cuffed straight leg denim,  our best selling Olyvia Mid Heels.” – Darlene, Fashion Director

“Of course Charlotte Gainsbourg makes it look so ridiculously stylish.”

“The coat with red nike sneakers is casual genius. Definitely copying ASAP.”

Our Fashion Director Darlene shares how she’d style the neon and metallic trend:

“The rules of styling metallic and neon? There are none. The two bold colors go so well together. It’s unexpected, fun and the metallic somehow works a neutral.

Take Lucky Magazine‘s Editor-In-Chief Eva Chen. I love how she balanced out the highlighter yellow with a basic white tee and a metallic moto jacket (and all pulled together with those sporty platform sandals). Definitely total outfit magic. I’m even inspired to paint my nails gold and rock a lime green cell phone case!”

“Floral ON floral? Yes you can and it looks incredible. Particularly amazing as a two piece ensemble, head wrap or pared-back accessory. It just makes everything more fun.”

“Confidence rules. Maya Angelou has always been one of my biggest pick-me-up inspirations. The quote above is hands-down my favorite and this a tribute to the literary icon.  My dream dinner party guest list would be Maya, Kim Gordon (from Sonic Youth) and Chrissie Hymd (from The Prentenders). Best. Dinner. Convo. Talk. Ever.”

Our Chief Creative Officer Talitha spills what she l-o-v-e-s this month:

“Why not be truly yourself? No second guessing allowed. The spring into summer transition is the perfect time to throw caution to the wind. Time to really think outside the box and have fun. Here are three of my new rules/style tips to live by.”
